College Campus Trips is a leading provider of pre-designed and customized, fully-escorted trips to colleges and universities across the United States. Our tours minimize the stress and guesswork normally associated with the college selection process by providing students with first-hand introductions to the colleges that are of interest to them, their parents, guidance counselors and advisors. We offer a unique opportunity of escorting and managing your very own tours.

These key positions will be responsible for generating local and nationwide campus tours with high schools located within a defined territory in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. They will work closely with high schools and college counselors by providing the highest level of customer service and gaining revenue opportunities by securing new tours offered by College Campus Trips.

The Area Associates will be responsible for conducting their own tours and as a Tour Director they are accountable for leading and managing the activities of the group while on tour for three or four days, visiting various college campuses. This Independent Contractor position is part-time and offers flexible hours and it’s a great way of managing your own business from the initial contact with high schools through to a series of your own professionally escorted tours.

Responsibilities:

• Generate and expand relationships with high schools in the assigned territory to maximize new tour opportunities
• Determine, in consultation with the school counselors, the best tour elements and departure dates based on their needs
• Communicate clear requirements to Head Office for group planning purposes
• Presentation to the school in a timely manner, of a customized college campus tours with costs per person, as provided by Head Office
• Establish a service call plan for assigned territory
• Build strong relationships with the Counselors and Advisors within the high school to ensure the decision makers are being reached who can approve the tours and services being offered
• Consult and expand relationships with schools, Associations to reach a broad cross section of tour prospects
• Conduct Presentations at PTA meetings to encourage student participation if required
• Carry out pre-tour briefing for students and their parents at a high schools, if requested




Responsibilities as Tour Director:

• Review ‘Guide Book’ prior to departure and become familiar with contacts, departure times and ensures that complete lists of participants and contact details are included
• Become familiar with the tour components (hotels, Bus Company, security company etc.) and that all tour items have been fully prepaid.
• To take the leadership role at all times during the tour.
• Be responsible for verifying attendance throughout the tour.
• Perform a meet and greet with an official introduction and provide a brief overview of the trip with some basic rules.
• Brief the bus driver daily
• Take charge in the case of an emergency
• Meet the Security Guard each evening and provide instructions
• Call ahead if the tour is off schedule
• Conduct a pre-tour briefing for students and their parents at a high school meeting if requested
• Follows corporate expense policies and guidelines
• Represents themselves and College Campus Trips with the highest level of integrity and professionalism

Job Requirements:

• Ideally the candidate will have experience in the area of education and have previous contacts within high schools in your area.
• Individuals must be self-motivated and possess excellent communication skills
• Responsible individuals with effective time management skills
