Hi Cherie:

Do you have any recent scoop from tour operators about their tour forecast in light of the worldwide economic meltdown?

I have my EF training next week and will report back what they say about the above.

According to Joseph at Collette, they are looking at a busy domestic market for the next several years. He mentioned it was due to our economy. People will still travel, but stay closer to home to save money.

Our real upscale market usually continues to travel. Even after 911 settled down a bit the upscale hotels, tours and cruises were booked.

After speaking with some of the EF people and other experienced TDs at the EF training, the collective feeling is that the student market shouldn't be affected by the recessed (depressed?) economy. Their thinking is that parents will get the money together to send their kid on a special trip. A whole lot less expensive than the family taking a vacation.
