Educational Tour Leader
Position Overview:
Worldstrides Discovery Programs are currently seeking Educational Tour Leaders (Course Leaders) to work with one of the only accredited travel schools in the United States. Course Leaders work with school groups in grades fifth through twelfth primarily in the Orlando area facilitating our Discovery programs. We are seeking individuals who can demonstrate a commitment to working with students in the worldwide classroom.
Qualifications:
B.A. or B.S. degree, Science field.
Background in Education, Travel and Science.
Ability to stay overnight with groups at hotel, flexibility of schedule during the spring season.
Experience and love/passion of working with students.
Fun, Energetic and Customer Service Oriented.
Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification a plus.
Attendance at certification seminars and participation in a ride-a-long and ability to lead 3 trips in a season.
Excellent communication skills; specifically addressing groups, relaying information in a fun and interesting manner.
Coordinate logistics and lead day programs for visiting groups.
Teach large and small groups in educational and environmental programs.
Attend staff meetings and other professional workshops.
Problem solver with ability to work in a fast paced environment and able to adapt to unexpected changes to give best experience possible
Relationship builder who can make quick decisions in changing conditions.
Assistance with curriculum, program development, and other areas as needed.

As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for conducting daily tours of Minute Maid Park for fans and guests from across the world. In addition to conducting tours of the ballpark, Tour Guides serve as ambassadors for the Houston Astros by taking part in special events, birthday parties, and corporate events at Minute Maid Park.
Primary (Essential) Duties:
Interact and guide visitors through walking tour of Minute Maid Park.
Serve as Astros host for birthday parties, special events and game day tours.
Responsible for knowledge of Minute Maid Park, Houston Astros and Major League Baseball history as provided by Tours department.
Monitor all areas of Astros tour route prior to guests’ arrival. Unlock and check all tour areas before beginning of tour; this includes bending over to turn on escalators.
Welcome guests to Union Station prior to all tour start times.

You must be energetic, fun, and have an upbeat spirit to work with us. This is the perfect part-time position if you are a College Student looking to earn extra cash or if you are a Employed, but would like to have fun eating and enjoying the company of other people.

Tours operate everyday, 3 times each day at 11:30am, 1pm, and 3pm. Tour Guides work 4 hours per day, and your schedule will vary from 3-5 tours per week. Once hired and trained, Tour Guides receive $13.00 per hour plus gratuities with significant pay raises with experience. A tour guide will never lead more than one tour in a day.
Positions may be available as a regular part-time or full-time employee as well as on a freelance basis.

Here's a fun way to be a part of the passion at MillerCoors. The Miller Visitor Center is looking for a Tour Guide to join the Milwaukee MillerCoors team on a year-round, part-time basis !
Tour Guides will meet, greet and guide guests on a four block indoor/outdoor walking tour of the Brewery's facilities. They will provide detailed information regarding the brewery, MillerCoors and Miller Valley's history. Guides may support special events by serving beer and/or work in the gift shop in a cross-trained capacity.
Work approximately 35 hours per week , with mandatory Saturday hours (Sunday's as well during summer season Memorial Day - Labor Day). Some evening hours are required for various special events.

Guest Relations Reps may be required to work between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm based on scheduled event needs.
Preferred Qualifications
Must be a minimun 18 years of age.
Experience in customer service, communication, and the hospitality industry is desired, but not required. The ideal candidate must be energetic, enthusiastic, professional and possess the ability to work well in a diverse, team-oriented environment.
